Concrete Tile Price in Argentina (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average concrete tile import price amounted to $1,551 per ton, with a decrease of -2.5% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, concrete tile import price increased by +20.6% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average import price increased by 135%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,823 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($2,605 per ton), while the price for Chile ($274 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+26.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Concrete Tile Price in Argentina (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average concrete tile export price amounted to $132 per ton, with a decrease of -31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 11%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $309 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Chile ($220 per ton), while the average price for exports to Uruguay stood at $130 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bolivia (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Concrete Tile Imports in Argentina

After three years of growth, overseas purchases of tiles, flagstones, bricks and similar articles, of cement, concrete or artificial stone decreased by -13.4% to 10K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.9% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 33%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 12K tons, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, concrete tile imports fell remarkably to $16M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +49.1% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 64%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $19M, and then declined sharply in the following year.
