In 2022, the average commercial printing export price amounted to $6,643 per ton, surging by 2.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 67%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $11,257 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Jordan ($15,205 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mozambique ($1,302 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Libya (+34.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average commercial printing import price stood at $8,077 per ton in 2022, falling by -17.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated moderate growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 20% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $9,778 per ton in 2021, and then reduced remarkably in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($23,000 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($1,081 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
