Commercial Printing Price in Belarus (CIF) - 2022

The average commercial printing import price stood at $4,168 per ton in March 2022, dropping by -19.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2021 when the average import price increased by 54% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $6,539 per ton. From June 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Poland ($11,956 per ton), while the price for Italy ($853 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In March 2022, the average commercial printing export price amounted to $6,100 per ton, waning by -6.7% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a modest expansion from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, commercial printing export price decreased by -6.7% against February 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 when the average export price increased by 19% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $6,540 per ton in February 2022, and then reduced in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($15,821 per ton), while the average price for exports to Democratic Republic of the Congo ($4,314 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Commercial Printing Imports in Belarus

For the third consecutive year, Belarus recorded decline in overseas purchases of commercial printing (except screen and books), which decreased by -13.7% to 11K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt decrease. The smallest decline of -10.1% was in 2021.

In value terms, commercial printing imports expanded slightly to $57M in 2022. Overall, imports showed a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 4.3%.
