Chipped Non-Coniferous Wood Price in Ukraine (FOB) - 2022
The average chipped non-coniferous wood export price stood at $31 per cubic meter in 2022, growing by 30% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a slight downturn. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $35 per cubic meter in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($142 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($12 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Chipped Non-Coniferous Wood Price in Ukraine (CIF) - 2022
The average chipped non-coniferous wood import price stood at $287 per cubic meter in 2022, rising by 41% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a slight slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 55% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $431 per cubic meter. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($381 per cubic meter), while the price for Poland ($280 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Chipped Non-Coniferous Wood Exports in Ukraine
In 2022, overseas shipments of non-coniferous wood in chips or particles decreased by -65.9% to 102K cubic meters, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports saw a significant decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 0.8% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 422K cubic meters. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, chipped non-coniferous wood exports reduced dramatically to $3.2M in 2022. In general, exports showed a dramatic setback. The smallest decline of -10.3% was in 2020. The exports peaked at $12M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
