In 2022, the average carbon disulphide export price amounted to $671 per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, carbon disulphide export price increased by +30.9% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 147% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $994 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Indonesia.

The average carbon disulphide import price stood at $705 per ton in July 2023, picking up by 2% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a pronounced curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 an increase of 50% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $1,159 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Thailand.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Japan amounted to +1.2% per month.

In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas shipments of carbon disulphides, when their volume increased by 5.8% to 1K tons. In general, exports, however, saw a dramatic descent.

Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 4,074%.
In value terms, carbon disulphide imports declined to $318K in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 1,536% against the previous year.
