Canned Mushroom Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022

In March 2022, the average canned mushroom import price amounted to $1,390 per ton, reducing by -28.3% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a modest expansion from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, canned mushroom import price decreased by -28.3% against February 2022 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2021 an increase of 94% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,191 per ton. From May 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($2,135 per ton), while the price for China stood at $1,371 per ton.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (+1.8%).

Canned Mushroom Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

The average canned mushroom export price stood at $1,688 per ton in March 2022, shrinking by -7.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2021 when the average export price increased by 21% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,123 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to March 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Japan ($1,692 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($1,671 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Canned Mushroom Imports in Indonesia

In 2022, approx. 3.9K tons of canned mushrooms were imported into Indonesia; picking up by 26% on the year before. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible decrease.

In value terms, canned mushroom imports skyrocketed to $6M in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible contraction.

In 2022, overseas shipments of canned mushrooms decreased by -35.8% to 1.4K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, exports recorded a abrupt decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 13% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 2.2K tons, and then declined notably in the following year.

In value terms, canned mushroom exports shrank to $3.7M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 12%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $4.1M, and then contracted in the following year.
