Brewing Dregs Price in Latvia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average brewing dregs import price amounted to $90 per ton, waning by -1.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 649% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $216 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($367 per ton), while the price for Lithuania ($18 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, purchases abroad of brewing or distilling dregs and waste decreased by -18.6% to 8K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 47% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 14K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, brewing dregs imports contracted significantly to $719K in 2022. In general, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +17.1% over the last three-year period. In value terms, brewing dregs exports shrank modestly to $105K in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw significant growth.
