In 2022, the average blow lamp import price amounted to $15,211 per ton, dropping by -18.1% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average import price increased by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $18,566 per ton in 2021, and then shrank notably in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($46,646 per ton), while the price for China ($10,538 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (+51.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average blow lamp export price amounted to $35,300 per ton, picking up by 2.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 50%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $51,561 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($64,426 per ton), while the average price for exports to New Zealand ($9,357 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+12.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, overseas purchases of blow lamps decreased by -15.2% to 269 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend.
