Beverage Manufacturing Press Price in Australia (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average beverage manufacturing press import price amounted to $20,090 per ton, shrinking by -4.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated moderate growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, beverage manufacturing press import price increased by +12.7% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average import price increased by 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $24,000 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Belgium ($20,090 per ton) and Spain ($20,090 per ton), while the price for China ($20,089 per ton) and Germany ($20,089 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+12.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average beverage manufacturing press export price amounted to $26,266 per ton, growing by 7.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 205%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $32,661 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+146.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the fourth year in a row, Australia recorded growth in purchases abroad of presses and crushers for beverages manufacturing, which increased by 23% to 448 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +17.3% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +61.6% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
