Beer Price in Jordan (FOB) - 2022

The average beer export price stood at $1 per litre in 2022, falling by -2% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, beer export price increased by +95.1% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 58% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1 per litre. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Syrian Arab Republic ($1 per litre) and the United Arab Emirates ($1 per litre), while the average price for exports to Free Zones ($1 per litre) and Turkey ($1 per litre) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Palestine (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average beer import price stood at $1.1 per litre in 2022, declining by -5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, enjoyed a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 135%. The import price peaked at $1.2 per litre in 2021, and then declined in the following year.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from the Netherlands ($1.1 per litre) and Mexico ($1.1 per litre), while the price for Free Zones ($1.1 per litre) and France ($1.1 per litre) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Free Zones (+45.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Beer Exports in Jordan

Beer exports from Jordan surged to 3.5M litres in 2022, growing by 61% against the previous year. In general, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The exports peaked at 3.5M litres in 2019; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

In value terms, beer exports soared to $3.4M in 2022. Overall, exports showed a resilient expansion. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Beer Imports in Jordan

In 2022, imports of beer into Jordan rose notably to 2.9M litres, with an increase of 11% compared with the year before. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 12%. Imports peaked at 3.2M litres in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
