Beer Price in Belarus (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average beer import price amounted to $0.3 per litre, declining by -7.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 26%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $0.6 per litre in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($0.9 per litre), while the price for Russia ($0.3 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (-4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Beer Price in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
The average beer export price stood at $280 per thousand litres in March 2022, which is down by -23.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2021 when the average export price increased by 13% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $379 per thousand litres in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Poland ($586 per thousand litres), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($162 per thousand litres) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Beer Imports in Belarus
In 2022, overseas purchases of beer decreased by -17% to 132M litres, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 25%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 165M litres. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, beer imports fell rapidly to $44M in 2022. In general, imports saw a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 3.3%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $62M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Beer Exports in Belarus
Beer exports from Belarus plummeted to 72M litres in 2022, shrinking by -20.4% compared with 2021 figures. In general, exports recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 5.9%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at 100M litres in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, beer exports fell to $26M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $33M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
