Artificial Graphite Price in Belgium (FOB) - 2023
The average artificial graphite export price stood at $10,270 per ton in June 2023, with a decrease of -13.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 163% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $11,883 per ton in May 2023, and then contracted in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($50,180 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($6,283 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average artificial graphite import price stood at $3,280 per ton in June 2023, waning by -33% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 107% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $6,969 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Canada ($10,305 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($958 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
