Aromatic Alcohols Price in Israel (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average aromatic alcohols import price amounted to $3,970 per ton, with an increase of 38% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable reduction. The import price peaked at $5,874 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($5,335 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($2,866 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (-0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Aromatic Alcohols Price in Israel (FOB) - 2022

The average aromatic alcohols export price stood at $3,498 per ton in 2022, rising by 29% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 74% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $13,778 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($7,766 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($2,906 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+9.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Aromatic Alcohols Imports in Israel

In 2022, overseas purchases of aromatic alcohols and their derivatives decreased by -6.9% to 411 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 12% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 442 tons, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, aromatic alcohols imports skyrocketed to $1.6M in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +10.3% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +64.7% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 28%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
