Aluminium Wire Price in Uzbekistan (CIF) - 2023

The average aluminium wire import price stood at $2,758 per ton in May 2023, falling by -3.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2022 an increase of 6% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,147 per ton. From August 2022 to May 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2023, the country with the highest price was Russia ($2,837 per ton), while the price for Kazakhstan stood at $2,735 per ton.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (-1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average aluminium wire export price amounted to $2,571 per ton, picking up by 1.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a mild decrease. The export price peaked at $4,457 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

As a result, the exports reached the peak of 5.3 tons, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, aluminium wire exports shrank dramatically to $8.8K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 216% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $13K, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
