The average aluminium wire import price stood at $3,235 per ton in June 2023, with a decrease of -11.7% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 37% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,758 per ton. From November 2022 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Turkey ($4,345 per ton) and Bahrain ($3,205 per ton), while the price for Oman ($3,152 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($3,152 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average aluminium wire export price stood at $2,244 per ton in 2022, declining by -14.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 32%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,619 per ton, and then dropped in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($2,995 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($1,728 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
