In July 2023, the average aluminium wire import price amounted to $3,074 per ton, dropping by -5.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a mild descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 11% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $3,703 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($3,207 per ton), while the price for Romania stood at $2,927 per ton.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
