The average alcohols; polyhydric, mannitol import price stood at $6,175 per ton in February 2023, with a decrease of -17.1% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 55% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $7,448 per ton, and then declined markedly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In February 2023, the country with the highest price was Greece ($9,230 per ton), while the price for China ($3,276 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2022 to February 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Greece (+10.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
