Aircraft Propeller Price in France (FOB) - 2021
In November 2021, the average aircraft propeller export price amounted to $908K per ton, declining by -5.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2021 when the average export price increased by 25% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1.2M per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to November 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was China ($6.8M per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($102K per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+16.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Aircraft Propeller Price in France (CIF) - 2021
The average aircraft propeller import price stood at $180K per ton in November 2021, rising by 35% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2021 when the average import price increased by 70% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $755K per ton in December 2020; however, from January 2021 to November 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($684K per ton), while the price for Austria ($27,885 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+10.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Aircraft Propeller Exports in France
For the fourth consecutive year, France recorded growth in overseas shipments of propellers and rotors for civil non-powered aircraft, helicopters and aeroplanes, which increased by 0.2% to 195 tons in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 4.7% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, aircraft propeller exports dropped to $169M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 27%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $189M, and then reduced in the following year.
