Aircraft Propeller Price in Brazil (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average aircraft propeller import price amounted to $1,125,624 per ton, remaining stable against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, aircraft propeller import price increased by +82.7% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 33%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($3,385,571 per ton), while the price for the United States ($675,956 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average aircraft propeller export price stood at $2,360,435 per ton in 2022, growing by 35% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 51% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,429 per kg; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($5,189,962 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bolivia ($1,551,338 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (+36.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Aircraft Propeller Imports in Brazil

In 2022, approx. 7.8 tons of propellers and rotors for civil non-powered aircraft, helicopters and aeroplanes were imported into Brazil; shrinking by -72.4% against the year before. In general, imports saw a sharp contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 40%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 28 tons, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

In value terms, aircraft propeller imports dropped markedly to $8.8M in 2022. Overall, imports faced a precipitous contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 63%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $32M, and then declined dramatically in the following year.

In 2022, shipments abroad of propellers and rotors for civil non-powered aircraft, helicopters and aeroplanes decreased by -81.3% to 1.8 tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, exports recorded a significant contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 14%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 9.9 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, aircraft propeller exports contracted sharply to $4.3M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a significant contraction. The smallest decline of -2.4% was in 2021.
