UK Labour Market Overview: March 2026 Official Statistics

The Office for National Statistics has published its latest set of labour market estimates for the United Kingdom. The release covers a wide range of statistics including employment, unemployment, economic inactivity, average weekly earnings, and vacancies.

Data on average weekly earnings for employees in Great Britain, measured before tax and other deductions, is included in the release. Estimates for workforce jobs and vacancies across the UK are also provided. The statistics encompass figures for public and private sector employment, which are published on a quarterly basis and are seasonally adjusted.

Information on actual and usual weekly hours worked is available, broken down by factors such as sex and job type, derived from the Labour Force Survey.
