According to Energy-Storage.news, executives from European independent power producer R.Power discussed the firm's battery energy storage activity and technology procurement. The company is active in several European countries, adding storage systems to its existing portfolio of solar projects.

R.Power's construction efforts are currently focused on Poland and Romania. The company holds over a gigawatt of projects in Poland with capacity market contracts secured in both 2024 and 2025. It also has two large-scale battery projects in Italy that are nearly at the ready-to-build stage.

The firm has recently established optimization agreements for its standalone projects under construction in Poland and Romania. Axpo will handle trading for a project in Poland, while GEN-I will optimize a project in Romania. Company leadership described these as floor arrangements involving a revenue share, which form part of a strategy to secure a majority of revenues long-term. These deals are considered novel in their respective markets.

Looking ahead, the company expressed interest in pursuing tolling agreements for future projects in these countries, noting interest from potential offtakers.
