From 2013 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to South Korea amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+X% per year) and Belgium (-X% per year).
In value terms, South Korea ($X), Poland ($X) and Singapore ($X) were the largest markets for primary battery exported from the U.S. worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.
Export Prices by Country
In 2018, the average primary battery export price amounted to $X per kg, increasing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the primary battery export price, however, continues to indicate a deep contraction.
Export prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest export price was China, Hong Kong SAR ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export prices was recorded for supplies to Argentina, while the export prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports into the U.S.
Primary battery imports into the U.S. amounted to X tonnes in 2018, going up by X% against the previous year.

Imports by Country
In 2018, China (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of primary battery to the U.S., accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, primary battery imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second largest supplier, Indonesia (X tonnes), fivefold. Singapore (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
From 2013 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of volume from China totaled +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Indonesia (+X% per year) and Singapore (+X% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of primary battery to the U.S., comprising X% of total primary battery imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Singapore ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Indonesia, with a X% share.
Import Prices by Country
The average primary battery import price stood at $X per kg in 2018, picking up by X% against the previous year. In general, the primary battery import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2018, the country with the highest import price was Japan ($X per tonne), while the price for China ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of import prices was attained by China, while the import prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
