PASSER Group and Qube International Plan Singapore Energy Logistics Hub

According to Offshore Energy, two companies are planning to establish a dedicated storage and cable-handling hub in Singapore. The Norway-headquartered PASSER Group and Australia's Qube International aim to strengthen regional capability and create a more efficient logistics footprint for the energy sector across the Asia-Pacific region.

The partners expanded an existing collaboration by signing a new memorandum of understanding. This outlines their joint intention to establish the hub at the Bintan Offshore Marine Centre.

The combined capabilities of the companies are intended to support umbilical handling for offshore oil and gas operations. They will also support subsea power cable handling for the offshore wind industry.

Beyond the planned hub, PASSER and Qube are currently collaborating on a major offshore oil and gas project in Northwest Australia. That collaboration involves manufacturing specialized offshore baskets, supplying rental equipment, and providing expert project management services. It also includes cable spooling operations and technical support.
