Mastercard Launches Global Crypto Partner Program with 85+ Firms

According to a report from Yahoo Finance, Mastercard has initiated a global program that brings together more than 85 companies focused on digital assets, payment providers, and financial institutions. The effort signals an acknowledgment that digital assets are increasingly being used for practical purposes like cross-border payments and business transfers, often integrated into current financial systems.

The program involves many prominent entities in the digital asset sector. These include major digital asset exchanges, a payments firm associated with XRP, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, and various payment companies. Additional partners consist of teams connected to several blockchain networks, along with a range of other digital asset and financial services firms. Analytics and intelligence companies specializing in digital assets are also participants.

Through this initiative, participants will collaborate with Mastercard on developing future products and services. The goal is to combine the speed and programmability of digital assets with established card payment networks and global commerce systems.

This new program expands on Mastercard's previous work in the digital asset space, which includes dedicated blockchain and card programs. The company stated it intends to connect innovative on-chain developments with its existing worldwide payments infrastructure to facilitate the smooth incorporation of new technologies into daily commerce.
