The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013, when it surged by X% against the previous year. The level of export price peaked at $X per kg in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2017, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Export prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest export price was France ($X per kg), while Greece ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

At the same time, Austria (+X%), Poland (+X%), the Czech Republic (+X%), France (+X%), Romania (+X%), Bulgaria (+X%), the UK (+X%), Portugal (+X%), Belgium (+X%) and Italy (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Austria emerged as the fastest growing importer in the European Union, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. The Netherlands experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2007 to 2017, the share of the Czech Republic, the UK, Poland, France, Austria and Germany decreased by -X%, -X%, -X%, -X%, -X% and -X% percentage points, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Germany ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported apricots in the European Union, comprising X% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by France ($X), with a X% share of global imports. It was followed by the UK, with a X% share.
Import Prices by Country
The apricot import price in the European Union stood at $X per kg in 2017, reducing by -X% against the previous year. The the apricot import price continues to indicate a perceptible decline.
There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2017, the country with the highest import price was the UK ($X per kg), while Bulgaria ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
