China dominates in the global trade of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances. In 2014, China exported X thousand tonnes of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances totaling X billion USD, X% over the previous year. Its primary trading partner was the U.S., where it supplied X% of its total domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances exports in value terms, accounting for X% of the U.S.'s total imports.
From 2007 to 2014, China was a net exporter on the home appliance market. Over this period, exports consistently exceeded imports in value terms. In physical terms this difference was even more pronounced.
Italy and Mexico were among the other main global suppliers of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances in 2014. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were Mexico (+X% per year) and Egypt (+X% per year). Even with this increased competition, it was China who was able to significantly strengthen its position in the global export structure.
In 2014, China's top X trading partners were the U.S., Germany, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, with a combined X% share of China's domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances exports. The share of Germany increased slightly (+X percentage points), while the share of the U.S. dropped sharply (-X percentage points).
