Wooden Office Furniture Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

In March 2022, the average wooden office furniture export price amounted to $44.4 per unit, standing approximately at the previous month. Over the period from March 2021 to March 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2021 when the average export price increased by 28% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $48.1 per unit in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to March 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($83.1 per unit), while the average price for exports to Japan ($25.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+11.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Wooden Office Furniture Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022

In March 2022, the average wooden office furniture import price amounted to $46.4 per unit, stabilizing at the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated measured growth from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.8% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, wooden office furniture import price increased by +62.1% against December 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 when the average import price increased by 42% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in March 2022.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Poland ($46.3 per unit), while the price for China stood at $46.3 per unit.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+4.6%).

Wooden Office Furniture Exports in Indonesia

In 2022, overseas shipments of wooden furniture of a kind used in offices decreased by -5.8% to 567K units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 602K units, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, wooden office furniture exports contracted to $28M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +31.4% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 39%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $31M, and then shrank in the following year.
