Dry Bean Price in Kazakhstan (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average dry bean import price amounted to $485 per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 35%. The import price peaked at $1,048 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($2,229 per ton), while the price for Uzbekistan ($461 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+8.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average dry bean export price amounted to $419 per ton, reducing by -49.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average export price increased by 73%. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+14.0%).
Dry Bean Imports in Kazakhstan
For the fourth consecutive year, Kazakhstan recorded growth in purchases abroad of beans (dry), which increased by 78% to 20K tons in 2022. Overall, imports posted a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 227%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, dry bean imports surged to $9.8M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 117%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
