Global silk fabric exports surged to X square meters in 2022, growing by X% compared with the year before. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt slump. Over the period under review, the global exports hit record highs at X square meters in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, silk fabric exports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the global exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China prevails in exports structure, reaching X square meters, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Italy (X square meters), the United Arab Emirates (X square meters) and South Africa (X square meters), together making up a X% share of total exports. Japan (X square meters), India (X square meters), South Korea (X square meters), Uzbekistan (X square meters) and France (X square meters) held a little share of total exports.

Exports from China decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Uzbekistan (X%) and the United Arab Emirates (X%) displayed positive paces of growth.
