In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of video game consoles, when their volume decreased by X% to X units. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a perceptible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the global exports reached the maximum at X units in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.
In value terms, video game console exports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of X%. The global exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
Exports by Country
China was the largest exporting country with an export of about X units, which finished at X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the United States (X units), achieving a X% share of total exports. Vietnam (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Vietnam (X%), the United Arab Emirates (X%) and the United States (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Hong Kong SAR (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (X p.p.), the United States (X p.p.), Vietnam (X p.p.) and the United Arab Emirates (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Hong Kong SAR saw its share reduced by X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
