In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the largest uncoated kraft liner supplier worldwide, comprising 33% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Sweden ($X), with a 16% share of global exports. It was followed by Finland, with a 6.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the United States totaled +1.4%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Sweden (+2.6% per year) and Finland (+21.2% per year).

Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.8%. The global export price peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per ton), while New Zealand ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The purchases of the twelve major importers of uncoated kraft liner, namely Germany, Mexico, China, Italy, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, Canada, Turkey, Guatemala, the United States and Belgium, represented more than half of total import. France (X tons) held a minor share of total imports.

China, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, Canada, the United States, Guatemala, Turkey, Belgium and France lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 38%.
Guatemala, with a CAGR of +7.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average uncoated kraft liner import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, jumping by 22% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.2%. Global import price peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
