Tomato Juice Market Size

In value terms, tomato juice exports stood at $X in 2018. In general, tomato juice exports, however, continue to indicate a slight curtailment. Over the period under review, global tomato juice exports attained their peak figure at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, exports failed to regain their momentum.

Exports by Country

Italy (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes), Spain (X tonnes), Russia (X tonnes), Ukraine (X tonnes) and Poland (X tonnes) represented roughly X% of total exports of tomato juice in 2018. Turkey (X tonnes), Canada (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), Belarus (X tonnes) and Cyprus (X tonnes) took a minor share of total exports.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Belarus (+X% per year), while exports for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Spain, Russia, Poland, Canada, Ukraine, Turkey, France, Cyprus and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X the main exporting countries, Belarus (+X% per year) experienced the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while exports for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2018, the average tomato juice export price amounted to $X per tonne, flattening at the previous year. Overall, the tomato juice export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices for tomato juice attained their maximum at $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2018, export prices failed to regain their momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per tonne), while Ukraine ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, global tomato juice imports reached their maximum in 2018 and are expected to retain its growth in the near future.

In value terms, tomato juice imports stood at $X in 2018. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2007 to 2018; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, global tomato juice imports attained their peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2018, the UK (X tonnes), distantly followed by Germany (X tonnes), Mexico (X tonnes), Belarus (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes) and France (X tonnes) represented the largest importers of tomato juice, together making up X% of total imports. Russia (X tonnes), Lithuania (X tonnes), Japan (X tonnes), China, Hong Kong SAR (X tonnes), Poland (X tonnes) and Kazakhstan (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Imports into the UK increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2007 to 2018. At the same time, Japan (+X%), Poland (+X%), China, Hong Kong SAR (+X%), Germany (+X%) and Mexico (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Japan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2018. France experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the Netherlands (-X%), Lithuania (-X%), Russia (-X%), Belarus (-X%) and Kazakhstan (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the UK (+X p.p.), Japan (+X p.p.) and Germany (+X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2007-2018, the share of Russia (-X p.p.), Kazakhstan (-X p.p.) and Belarus (-X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the UK ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported tomato juice worldwide, comprising X% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Germany ($X), with a X% share of global imports. It was followed by Mexico, with a X% share.

In the UK, tomato juice imports expanded at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2018. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Germany (+X% per year) and Mexico (+X% per year).
