The United States was also the fastest-growing in terms of the splitting, slicing or paring machines imports, with a CAGR of +17.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Australia (+11.2%), Canada (+10.5%), the Czech Republic (+8.4%), Italy (+6.9%), Norway (+4.1%) and the Netherlands (+3.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. France experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Qatar (-2.4%), Finland (-5.6%), Germany (-6.7%) and the UK (-7.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United States ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported splitting, slicing or paring machines worldwide, comprising 24% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 10% share of global imports. It was followed by France, with a 7.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in the United States amounted to +15.4%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+1.4% per year) and France (+14.0% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average wood slicing machine import price amounted to $X per unit, waning by -4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern.
