Electric Rotary Converter Exports

In 2021, global electric rotary converter exports expanded remarkably to X units, with an increase of 6.4% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 36%. Over the period under review, the global exports hit record highs at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, electric rotary converter exports reduced to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, the global exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Germany was the main exporter of electric rotary converters in the world, with the volume of exports recording X units, which was approx. 26% of total exports in 2021. Mexico (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by the Netherlands (X units), Vietnam (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units). All these countries together held approx. 34% share of total exports. The following exporters - Spain (X units), Malaysia (X units), Denmark (X units), Israel (X units), South Africa (X units), Italy (X units) and the UK (X units) - together made up 23% of total exports.

Exports from Germany decreased at an average annual rate of -9.7% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Vietnam (+46.8%), Israel (+25.5%), Mexico (+13.4%), Italy (+12.3%), Denmark (+11.0%), Hong Kong SAR (+5.8%), Malaysia (+3.6%), South Africa (+2.8%) and the Netherlands (+2.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +46.8% from 2012-2021. By contrast, the Czech Republic (-1.4%), Spain (-7.1%) and the UK (-15.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Mexico, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Hong Kong SAR, Israel, Denmark, Italy and Malaysia increased by +8.7, +5.5, +3, +2.8, +2.8, +2.7, +2.1 and +1.8 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest electric rotary converter supplier worldwide, comprising 41% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Spain ($X), with a 4.1% share of global exports. It was followed by the UK, with a 4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Germany amounted to -8.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Spain (-13.9% per year) and the UK (-3.4% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the average electric rotary converter export price amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -15.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a perceptible reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 32% against the previous year. The average electric rotary converter import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 18% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible slump. Global import price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
