The shipments of the twelve major exporters of methanol (methyl alcohol), namely Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United States, Oman, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Malaysia, Venezuela, Egypt and Equatorial Guinea, represented more than two-thirds of total export.
