Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +12.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Israel (+15.5%), Turkey (+10.9%), Belgium (+10.3%), South Korea (+8.6%), the Netherlands (+7.3%), Spain (+4.9%), Italy (+4.3%), the UK (+1.9%) and Germany (+1.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +15.5% from 2012-2022. Canada experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the United States (-2.9%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (-9.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of China, Belgium, Israel and South Korea increased by +12, +3.5, +2.1 and +1.6 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

At the same time, Nigeria (+16.8%), Malaysia (+11.0%), France (+10.1%), the Netherlands (+8.4%), Spain (+7.3%), Italy (+6.8%), China (+6.5%), Germany (+6.1%), the UK (+5.7%), Indonesia (+2.4%) and Canada (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Nigeria emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +16.8% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Russia (-2.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the United States (+14 p.p.) and France (+2.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (-3.4 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United States ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported machinery for filtering or purifying water worldwide, comprising 17% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with a 4.5% share of global imports. It was followed by France, with a 4.4% share.
