Beer Exports

Global exports stood at X tonnes in 2017, going up by X% against the previous year. The total export volume had been increasing at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007 to 2017; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2012, when the exports increased by X% against the previous year. Global exports peaked in 2017, and are likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, beer exports stood at $X in 2017. The total export value had been increasing at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007 to 2017; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the global beer exports attained its peak figure level in 2017, and are expected to retain its growth in the near future.

Beer Exports by Country

In 2017, Mexico (X tonnes), distantly followed by the Netherlands (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes), and Belgium (X tonnes) were the major exporters of beer, together mixed up X% of total exports. The following exporters - France (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), the UK (X tonnes), the Czech Republic (X tonnes), Ireland (X tonnes), Russia (X tonnes), Poland (X tonnes), and Thailand (X tonnes) together made up X% of total exports.

From 2007 to 2017, the most notable growth rate of exports, among the main exporting countries, was attained by France (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Mexico ($X), the Netherlands ($X), and Belgium ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2017, with a combined X% share of global exports. Germany, the UK, the U.S., France, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Thailand, Poland and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

Thailand (+X% per year) had the highest growth rate of exports, among the main exporting countries, over the last X years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Beer Export Prices by Country

In 2017, the average export price for beer amounted to $X per tonne, approximately reflecting the previous year. In general, beer export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010, when the average export prices increased by X% y-o-y. Global export price peaked of $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

There were significant differences in the average export prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2017, the country with the highest export price was the UK ($X per tonne), while Russia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
