Exports in Western Africa

Sesame seed exports expanded to X tons in 2022, rising by X% compared with the previous year. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, sesame seed exports expanded notably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a pronounced decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X.
