Exports in Western Africa

In 2022, refined cotton-seed oil exports in Western Africa soared to X tons, picking up by X% against 2021. Overall, exports continue to indicate a pronounced increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, refined cotton-seed oil exports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a temperate increase. In value terms, refined cotton-seed oil imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a pronounced shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Nigeria prevails in imports structure, reaching X tons, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2022. Mali (X tons) and Niger (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.
