Exports in Western Africa

In 2023, the amount of presses and crushers for beverages manufacturing exported in Western Africa declined dramatically to X tons, waning by X% against 2022 figures. In general, exports showed a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2022 when exports increased by X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, beverage manufacturing press exports contracted sharply to $X in 2023. Overall, exports showed a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Sierra Leone was the main exporter of presses and crushers for beverages manufacturing in Western Africa, with the volume of exports finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. Senegal (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Mali (X kg) and Ghana (X kg). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Cabo Verde (X kg) and Benin (X kg) - each resulted at a X% share of total exports.

In terms of the main importing countries, Senegal, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2023, the import price in Western Africa amounted to $X per ton, surging by X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2022 when the import price increased by X%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2023, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Liberia ($X per ton), while Togo ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
