The West African pork market contracted slightly to $X in 2022, with a decrease of X% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Exports in Western Africa

In 2022, the amount of pork exported in Western Africa shrank to X tons, declining by X% against 2021 figures. Overall, exports, however, recorded a moderate increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, pork exports dropped markedly to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Mauritania represented the largest exporting country with an export of around X tons, which resulted at X% of total exports. Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Senegal (X tons). All these countries together held near X% share of total exports.
