The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the export price increased by X%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ghana ($X per ton), while Sierra Leone ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2023, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of frozen whole fish, when their volume increased by X% to X tons. Total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Togo (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to frozen whole fish imports into Cote d'Ivoire stood at X%. At the same time, Burkina Faso (X%), Mali (X%), Ghana (X%), Togo (X%) and Benin (X%) displayed positive paces of growth.
