From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to beer exports from Togo stood at X%. At the same time, Benin (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Benin emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Western Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Nigeria (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X litres, and then reduced modestly in the following year.

In value terms, beer imports fell to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

Imports by Country

Burkina Faso (X litres), Cote d'Ivoire (X litres), Guinea (X litres), Senegal (X litres), Guinea-Bissau (X litres), Ghana (X litres) and Mali (X litres) represented roughly X% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Benin (X litres), generating a X% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Guinea (with a CAGR of X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
