In 2023, ammonium sulphate exports in Western Africa reached X tons, growing by X% compared with 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, ammonium sulphate imports skyrocketed to $X in 2023. Overall, imports continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2023 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
Nigeria represented the largest importer of ammonium sulphate in Western Africa, with the volume of imports accounting for X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2023.
