Temporarily Preserved Vegetable Exports

Exports from Vietnam

Temporarily preserved vegetable exports from Vietnam fell notably to X tons in 2022, dropping by -51.8% on the previous year. Over the period under review, exports recorded a perceptible curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by 112% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, temporarily preserved vegetable exports fell dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a mild descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 143%. The exports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 309%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, temporarily preserved vegetable imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a notable expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 301%. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

China (X tons), Japan (X tons) and Lao People's Democratic Republic (X tons) were the main suppliers of temporarily preserved vegetable imports to Vietnam, together accounting for 98% of total imports.
