The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017, with an increase of X% against the previous year. In that year, the phosphate exports attained their peak volume, and are likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, phosphate exports stood at $X in 2017. The total export value increased an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007 to 2017; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations in certain years. Phosphate Exports by Country from Vietnam

The exports of the four major exporters of natural phosphates (p2o5 content), namely Morocco, Jordan, Russia and Peru, represented more than two-thirds of total export. Algeria (X tonnes), China (X tonnes) and Senegal (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2007 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Senegal (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Morocco ($X) remains the largest phosphate supplier from Viet Nam, making up X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Jordan ($X), with a X% share of global exports. It was followed by Russia, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2017, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Morocco was relatively modest. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Jordan (+X% per year) and Russia (+X% per year).

Phosphate Export Prices by Country in Vietnam

In 2017, the phosphate export price in Viet Nam amounted to $X per tonne, reducing by -X% against the previous year. In general, phosphate export price continues to indicate an abrupt descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2010, an increase of X% y-o-y. Viet Nam export price peaked of $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

There were significant differences in the average export prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2017, the country with the highest export price was Algeria ($X per tonne), while Peru ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export prices was attained by China (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Phosphate Imports into Vietnam

In 2017, approx. X tonnes of natural phosphates (p2o5 content) were imported into Viet Nam; flattening at the previous year. In general, phosphate imports continue to indicate an abrupt decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013, when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the phosphate imports attained its peak figure volume of X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2017, it failed to regain its momentum.

In value terms, phosphate imports stood at $X in 2017. Overall, phosphate imports continue to indicate a deep descent. Viet Nam imports peaked of $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Phosphate Imports by Country into Vietnam

In 2017, India (X tonnes), distantly followed by South Korea (X tonnes), Indonesia (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), Lithuania (X tonnes) and Brazil (X tonnes) were the major importers of natural phosphates (p2o5 content), together making up X% of total imports. The following importers - Belgium (X tonnes), Mexico (X tonnes), Poland (X tonnes), Turkey (X tonnes), Belarus (X tonnes) and New Zealand (X tonnes) together made up X% of total imports.

From 2007 to 2017, average annual rates of growth with regard to phosphate imports into India stood at +X%. At the same time, Indonesia (+X%), the U.S. (+X%), Turkey (+X%), Mexico (+X%), Belarus (+X%), Lithuania (+X%) and Brazil (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Indonesia emerged as the fastest growing importer in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. Belgium experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, New Zealand (-X%), Poland (-X%) and South Korea (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of South Korea (X%) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2007-2017, the share of Lithuania (-X%), Mexico (-X%), the U.S. (-X%), Indonesia (-X%) and India (-X%) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
