In value terms, lemon and lime exports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Exports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The United Arab Emirates (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes) and Qatar (X tonnes) were the main destinations of lemon and lime exports from Viet Nam, with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Singapore, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Saudi Arabia (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011 when the average export price increased by X% year-to-year. The export price peaked at $X per tonne in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2020, export prices failed to regain the momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2020, the highest prices were recorded for prices to the Netherlands ($X per tonne) and Saudi Arabia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Singapore ($X per tonne) and Malaysia ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.
