Fructose Market Size in Vietnam

Cambodia (X tonnes), New Zealand (X tonnes) and Singapore (X tonnes) were the main destinations of fructose exports from Viet Nam, with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by the U.S., Malaysia, South Korea and Germany, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Germany, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, New Zealand ($X) remains the key foreign market for fructose exports from Viet Nam, comprising X% of total fructose exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Cambodia ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Singapore, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to New Zealand stood at +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Cambodia (+X% per year) and Singapore (+X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2018, the average fructose export price amounted to $X per tonne, rising by X% against the previous year. In general, the fructose export price continues to indicate buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by X% y-o-y. The export price peaked in 2018 and is likely to continue its growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Cambodia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Fructose imports into Viet Nam stood at X tonnes in 2018, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, fructose imports continue to indicate an outstanding expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, fructose imports attained their peak figure in 2018 and are likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.
