Cereal Market Size in Vietnam

In 2022, the Vietnamese cereal market increased by X% to $X, rising for the third consecutive year after two years of decline. Overall, consumption, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the market hit record highs at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Exports from Vietnam

In 2022, shipments abroad of cereals decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after four years of growth. Overall, exports, however, saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, cereal exports shrank markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

The Philippines (X tons), Cambodia (X tons) and Lao People's Democratic Republic (X tons) were the main destinations of cereal exports from Vietnam, together accounting for X% of total exports.
