China (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to South Korea amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Japan (+X% per year) and China (-X% per year).

The average wood charcoal export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the last eight-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, wood charcoal imports soared to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports posted a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% y-o-y. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. from 2016 to 2020, the growth imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2020, Indonesia (X tonnes) constituted the largest wood charcoal supplier to Viet Nam, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, wood charcoal imports from Indonesia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Cambodia (X tonnes), fivefold.
